Butyl Benzyl Pthalate or BBP appears in a clear, colorless liquid with a mild odor and is used as a plasticizer in adhesives, floor coverings, sealants paints and coatings. BBP is considered a high-solvating plasticizer for polyvinyl and cellulosic resins and can be found in PVC flooring, sealants, caulks and chlorinated rubber.
