Methyl methacrylate is a monomer that appears as a clear and colorless liquid. MMA is a methyl esther of methacrylic acid. It is a reactive resing and commonly used as cement in dentistry, orthopaedic surgery and ophthalmology. The largest use of MMA is as a comonomer in paints and coatings.
