Sebacic Acid

Sebacic acid is a castor oil derived dicarboxylic acid.  It is used to produce polymers, plasticizers, lubricants and corrosion retardants.  Sebacic acid is also used as a precursor to prepare sebacate esters such as diethylhexyl sebacate and dibutyl sebacate.  these esters can be used as plasticizers for plastics & cold resistant rubber as well as for lubricating oil, oil additives, spices, coatings and cosmetics.
